Chef-musician-owner Tod the Mod says: "Before y'all get the wrong idea, The Starving Artist Cafe is here to stay in Stockton." He's getting some of the best reviews he's gotten in his 40 years in the music and food biz. This is a fun event that started in Harlem in the 40s and later adapted by the beatnik poet coffee houses of the 60s. The artists and musicians who love our little place will get together and help us continue to support local art and music! Many small independently owned businesses like the Starving Artist Cafe suffer through the winter months and this was all our poet and musician friends' ideas to help out! We've become a must-visit-place in Hunterdon and Bucks Co. of the river valley for locals and travelers and he's "upping the stakes" this year with more great acts and events.
