Interview With A Convict 

I sat in a old stone jail cell with a guitar, barley functioning. Missing a high E string and strings spliced together, not the prettiest instrument I'll tell you that but it worked. I would use music as a tool, a way to escape for minutes and hours and somehow that guitar found sounds that I can't tell you the feeling, I can't describe the moments of turning someone's life story into a song and seeing their face.

     Interview with a Convict. The name came from the jail when I would be sitting down and talking to someone, in jail for 40 years some longer but most Lifer's.
